Many people believe that good things come to those who wait. If someone is confident that waiting would result in a significant benefit, it is easy to wait for a day, week, month, or even a year at most. However, there are times when someone, especially after suffering an unfortunate number of setbacks, is unsure of what they are waiting for.
Meet Kamryn Babb, a wide receiver who was highly recruited out of Missouri’s Christian Brothers College high school and displayed a lot of promise as he entered the college level. Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, and Ohio State all recruited him. Babb eventually decided to enroll at Ohio State in 2017 with the hope of having an immediate impact after a high school career that demonstrated his enormous potential.
Since Kamryn Babb has spent the last five years playing for Ohio State, many would assume that he has a wide range of standout catches and an abundance of receiving yards. However, that is far from the truth. Babb's determination has been put to the test ever since he started his journey at Ohio State. Kamryn suffered an ACL injury to one of his knees in 2018 and could only hope and pray for a quick recovery.

2019 was unquestionably thought by many to be the year Babb would recover, become healthy, and start helping the team. He was eager to impress his teammates and coaches with his skills. Kamryn Babb would regrettably discover that he had torn his ACL once more, but this time it was in his other knee. There are many people who, in Babb's shoes, would give up, accept the hand they were dealt, and wait for their bodies to repair the damage they had caused. The young wide receiver persisted in his fight for both his health and a chance to use his skills for his team, proving that he was a force to be reckoned with.
2020 saw the global spread of the coronavirus, which had a significant effect on the nation and postponed college football. Covid's reduced football schedule allowed Kamryn Babb to maintain his health without suffering a third ACL injury. Babb and the coaching staff had reason to think he would be able to contribute in 2021 because of this, but he would again suffer an ACL tear and encounter the same challenge for the third time. Many people would have understood his decision to retire from the sport if he had done so due to health concerns, but he still planned to try to make a comeback in 2022.
With his knee injuries, Kamryn Babb would suffer a minor setback at the start of the 2022 season. Since joining Ohio State after his senior year of high school, Kamryn Babb has had four total ACL surgeries. Fortunately, it was anticipated that Babb would return, and everyone was crossing their fingers that he would remain healthy and have a moment to shine. He would be chosen as team captain by his teammates and awarded the new Ohio State tradition known as the block o. After going five years without making a single catch, Kamryn Babb caught a eight-yard pass from quarterback CJ Stroud for a touchdown. After making his first catch ever and it turning out to be a touchdown, the wide receiver was overcome with emotion and gratitude.
